Mailchimp Integration Now Available for QuickBooks Online Users
The QuickBooks Online purchase of Mailchimp announced last September is a gamechanger for small business.
The BETA launch of a direct integration between Mailchimp and QuickBooks Online platforms last July gave select users the opportunity to combine customer data in Mailchimp with purchase data from QuickBooks Online. This powerful combination enabled business owners to target messages to customers who may not have purchased for a while, create customer segments from actual data, and build a look alike profile from actual customers.
This integration is now available for all QuickBooks Online users and is extremely simple to set up!
1. From the Apps on the left hand Navigation Bar in QuickBooks Online search for Mailchimp.
2. Log into your Mailchimp account and all of your customers will be added to Mailchimp!
3. Or, from your Mailchimp account, select the QuickBooks Online integration, and log into QuickBooks to connect!
4. You can filter and select audiences in Mailchimp and send an email campaign, or further filter to select customers who have sales above or below a given limit, or who have not purchased from you for a given period of time.
According to QuickBooks EVP and General Manager, Alex Chriss, for two-thirds of small businesses finding new customers is their biggest obstacle, and over 25% struggle to retain existing customers. Given that almost three-quarters of small businesses have not adopted a customer relationship management solution this integration should help QuickBooks Online users to reach new markets, and better communicate with their existing customers.
Mailchimp anticipates that combining their marketing platform with Intuit’s AI-driven platform will allow the creation products and services that solve business owners’ biggest challenges of finding new customers and cultivating deeper relationships with existing ones.
By building customer profiles from their QuickBooks data in Mailchimp the ability to grow their market will be improved by creating targeted campaigns.
